At the moment in my CW class, we’re perfecting our poems and moving on to fiction. I’ve been working on the same three poems for so long. Until now, they were lists. I don’t know what happened to me. It was total turning point today! I’m riding the high of successful poetry writing! Not to say that it’s Frost worthy by any means, but for me it’s pretty darn good. It at least sort of sounds like a poem. I’m so proud of myself right now. I hope it shows that I worked my butt off on these poems! I sort of feel like I got my mojo back! It might be that we’re in fiction and I feel much safer about writing fiction than I do poetry!
There’s still more work to do! I just wanted to thank you for sticking with me through this pothole and tell you all that I’m back! Or at least I think I am! There will be more frequent postings and less whining I promise!

“It at least sort of sounds like a poem.” lol. I’m sure all three of them are great poems. Isn’t it frustrating to edit and re-edit a poem to the point that it just looks like a bunch of disjointed thoughts that will never make sense again? Argh. Have fun with the fiction!
My poems started out as disjointed thoughts and now are put together a little more coherently I think, with more of a point to the end! I’m really excited for fiction! Thanks for coming back Rilla!
