Things to Live By

These are just a few things I think we, as Christians should live by!  It’s hard most of the time, but worth it in the end!

“‘A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’” – John 13:34,35

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worth of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” – Ephesians 4:1,2

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free.  But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh, rather, serve one another humbly in love.” – Galatians 5:13

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” – 1 John 4:11

“Be devoted to one another in love.  Honor one another above yourselves.” – Romans 12:10

“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” – 1 Peter 4:9

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16

“I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.” – Romans 15:14

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” – Colossians 3:16

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” – John 13:14

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24,25

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in face you are doing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
